The Rock-itt : May 2012
With Pete Johnson Crossing Red Lines Plays the Attic Room Mona Vale Hotel Saturday 19th May 2012 You just need to look at the photo below to get an idea of what “Crossing Red Lines” is all about. This is a band that knows how to get a room rockin’ and if the punters in that photo are any indication of what you’re going to get when you get yourselves down to the Mona on Saturday 19th May, then I suggest you better start bulking up. For this Sydney based Indie Rock band, with a taste for punk, reggae, early punk and just a smidgen of good old Aussie hip hop, is regarded by Melbourne based music producer Robbie Rowlands as being tarred with the same brush as the early band, “Clash”. The band was born and bred in Maroubra, Randwick and Curl, Curl, and has its line-up of, Harlin Firmin (Vocals, Guitar Harmonica), Jarryd Chambers (Lead Guitar), Sebastian Baker (Bass), and Pete Owen- Maissin (Drums). They have the ability to pen their own compositions and have created their own unique sound which is raging, rich and original and you’ll know what that means after you’ve heard them play. The stage in the ‘Attic Room’ should suit this full on action packed outfit and the punters who go to this event will know it next morning because they will be leg tired, world weary, and suffering soreness in the muscles. That’s if they really got into what ‘Crossing Red Lines’ are going to deliver. So start working out and get your fitness up, then get down to the Mona for this one.... should be a cracker........Pete.
