This month we have exciting entertainment which I’m sure will undoubtedly please you Timo patrons. All of the artists are first class acts but we usually feature one act specifically and our featured entertainers for August are........ “Kotahi Groove” Kotahi Groove translates in the Maori Language as “One Groove” or “Groove as One”. They are a 5 piece band consisting of Tony Meaney on drums, Jamie Paku on bass and vocals, Steve Rota playing rhythm guitar and vocals, Mark Lanigan- O’Keefe playing lead guitar and Sarah Taranaki as lead female vocalist. All this combines to create stunning harmonies and a great sound. Kotahi Groove cover genre styles in R&B, Funk, Motown, Disco, Modern Pop, Aussie Rock and classic Pub songs. They are all seasoned performers who gathered together 12 months ago to perform at a fundraising event. Since that time, demand has grown and they have been playing regularly at the Manly Fisho’s on Raglan Street and more recently at the Ivanhoe Hotel in Manly. I know you are going to like Kotahi Groove as well as our other entertainers for August. The Timo is a marvellous place for the whole family to unwind on Sundays so pack the kids up and head down for an afternoon of fun, food, drink and frivolity..... See you down there......Pete.
