The Rock-itt : July 2012
I can’t for see in the immediate future any brakes being applied to stop this happening, but at sometime down the track the business of money and managers and their tampering with players motivations and emotions for playing the game and for the good of the game should be addressed. But eventually it must be looked at and the system restructured to bring harmony back into it. Solet’sdoit! See you at the game..........Paddy. The Beaches boys were ruthless in dealing out the punishment to the hapless Roosters who tried hard to contain the massive onslaught by Sea Eagle juggernaut which eventually reached the half ton mark on the scoreboard. The maroon and whites persistently took the ball down the left side of the field and hammered the Roosters defence. I would hate to think what the score would have been if Glen Stewart would have been there, as he usually plays the right side of the field, and can you imagine Roosters trying to defend both the right and left hand sides of their turf? Sheer and absolute............. BEDLAM. 2. It was a mighty win for the Eagles and it certainly wouldn’t have done their morale any harm. Okay, next on the agenda is Round 17 another Bye then Eels, Knights, Bulldogs (at Brookie), and next W arriors. We are, currently, before The Rock-itt goes to print, 6 th on the Ladder board. Origin is on July 4th at Suncorp. Go The Blues!. We have a new Beaches lady by the name of Lara, who will be picking her best Sea Eagle player for the month, which should be interesting to see what the ladies think and how they find their ratings. Good to see so many women interested in League. In June he made plenty of heads turn his way with his aggressive play and solid defence, especially against the roosters when he scored a try so early in the game! He also stood out in Origin 2 and I’ll bet he gives his best in Origin 3. The second rower never seems to give up, despite receiving some heavy knocks. Onya Choc! See you next month with another of Lara’s ‘Sea Eagle of the Month’. Go the Mighty Sea Eagles! Go the NSW Blues!
