local talent covering a diverse range of genres giving it their all. After 3 weeks of tense Heats, we were left with a 6 band Final, competing for the Judges and Audience Choice Awards. After about five years of entering the competition without a win - local punks C.O.F.F .I.N. took out the Judge’s Award – proving that persistence and experience really do pay off! Other Finalists were Four Litre Friday and Parapaluie, while The Lower Pluto beat out From the Sky and Itchy Lighthouse for the Audience Choice Award. Recording All took out the Junior Encouragement Award and Nostalgia nabbed the School Award, given to a band all from the one school. A run of packed heats and a sold out Final, the 2011 Northern Composure band competition was another grand success with over $30,000 in sponsorship from our much treasured supporters. The regular band night program saw a Charity Event for the Eniwe Children's Foundation which supports an orphanage in South Africa was held, raising over $500. Lim e Cordiale lead the charge, grooving the night away with support from Static Silhouettes, Four Litre Friday,
