The Radiators (The Rads) at Terrey Hills Tavern With Pete Johnson and davetozer.com.au On Friday 26th August, Dave Tozer made his way up the mountain to cover Terrey Hills Tavern’s big night music extravaganza for The Rock-itt magazine. On arriving, Dave was taken aback by the number of cars which filled both car parks and neighbouring streets. Apart from the great food and beverages which are always top notch at the Tavern, the entertainment was also on a grand scale with the kings of the pub and club scene, “The Radiators” commissioned to absolutely rock the socks off The Tavern’s patrons. To a packed house “Rads” right from the outset put on a blistering, energetic performance which instantly had the punters reacting. A great mix of all ages sang, danced, cheered and screamed as the Rads churned through an unbelievable repertoire of their hit songs, which just at the mention of each one, had the punters in raptures. Classics such as “Ä Bit of Pain Never Hurts”, “Life’s A Gamble”, “Fess’s Song”, “Coming Home”, “Nancy Can’t Dance”, “Seventeen”, “Hit and Run”, and “Diamonds” all seem ed to create static electricity throughout the room and had the place crackling with energy. The Rads also mixed their sets with the likes of “Sophisticated” which they cut in 2000, “Hanging Tree”, (1997) and “Hardcore Love”, (1991) which for Dave was the stand out song for the night with the band really getting into it and belting it out just like it should be.
