Sign posters, CD’s, arms, foreheads, shirts, hats, diaries, anything with a surface. Eat lunch, drink instant coffee. Attend a Q&A session with the senior music class and discuss song writing, touring, band names and inspiration, and sign some more surfaces. Pack down gear, leave and get a real café late. Drive for hours to the next town, stopping at Woolies to pick up chicken, broccoli, carrot and beans for dinner ($4.50 each). Arrive, agree who gets the double bed, unpack suitcases, exercise, eat, drink, and respond to our new fans on Facebook. Receive text m essage... It is so good just getting these kids psyched about music again and proving to them that with perseverance, it can be done. It’s great to know that some of them will go away now and pick up an instrument for the first time, or even continue practicing when they might have otherwise given up.
