The Rock-itt : May 2011
the ladder is there because of a fairly ordinary for and against average. I hope that their early spurt doesn't fizzle into a puff and see them descend on a downward spiral. If they can regain some of the early momentum and get an attitude check they might just start to turn things around. 2010 Grand Final contenders, Roosters, are on 4 points although they haven't had the best of draws to start the season. With 5 losses thus far they just don't seem to get over the line with a succession of wins. They look good on the paddock, yet everyone seems to be able to beat them. There is something that needs to be addressed immediately if they want to get out of the rut they are in and if all sit down and watch every game played so far, they might weed out the problem. Titans are on 4 points and hasn't the loss of Scott Prince stuck out like a sore thumb. Just back after a big lay-off, Prince will certainly make the difference needed. The brilliance of this man is paramount to the success of Titans' 2011 NRL campaign, so come on Scotty, let's get the show on the road, after you play Manly, that is. Well they've caught the scapegoat and he has been drawn and quartered and hung out for all to see. Yes, Mathew Elliott has paid the price for Panthers' poor record for the start of the 2011 season. Despite the fact that he hasn't had the greatest side to work with doesn't seem to matter, he is Johnny on the spot and the man to feel the cruel cold blade of the committee's axe. Do the best you can for the rest of the season, Matt then find yourself another side whose committee can see the trees through the forest. Big wraps were put on the Rabbits for 2011 yet nothing seems to be happening. Apart for a few NRL LADDER intermittent spurts of brilliance the same old South's bandwagon just seems to trundle on, which must be sending Souths' boss, Russell Crowe's knuckles white. There is definitely no excuse for their poor performances. They have the players and coach, Johnny Lang is a proven mentor yet it seems like the boys just don't feel like playing. Second last on the ladder with 4 points, ho hum, what else is new. Raiders have hit rock bottom, as a matter of fact, they are at the bottom of the NRL ladder on 2 points. What to do? With Matt Orford back from England and back in the Raiders outfit and five eighth, Terry Campese back in action, I don't think the 'Green Machine' will be on the bottom for much longer. These two players are a lethal halves combination and should lift the side to new heights.
