The Rock-itt : May 2011
First band up was One Take....Earthquake! and the word is "They Rocked!". Next up were Driving the Rhino who put on a tight rock'n show of Detriot style punk, think Celibate Rifles with Radio Birdman rhythms. The Dead Electric hit the stage with vengeance with their powerful thrash punk inciting crowd participation and general mayhem on the stage. With a near capacity crowd in hand 28 Days hit the stage hard with a huge crowd favourite Say What? which pretty much set the scene for the crowd storming the stage, crowd surfing and generally going crazy as the band powered with precision through such classic/familiar hits as; Goodbye, Sand, Ball of Hate, Kool, What's the Deal?, Sucker, General A, and Stealing Chairs. All through the show constant screams for their national #12 hit and crowd favourite Rip It Up saw 28 days finish the show on a big note, with the crowd going completely crazy, jumping onto the stage singing and dancing with the band, that saw the conclusion of the night. 28 Days rocked out the Fisho's big time showing us how powerful their music is to creating a massive crowd reaction! 28 Days after retiring in 2007 and returning in 2009 to support Bodyjar's farewell tour have come back headlining gigs in 2010/11 and have also been recording some new material for eventual release this year, so for more information visit www.28-days.com.au Review and Photos by Dave Tozer.com.au To view photos of the night visit www.facebook.com/davetozerphotography
