The Rock-itt : March 2011
An almost capacity crowd turned up to see Aussie pop legend Daryl Braithwaite (Sherbert singer) and his band bring back music history to the Manly Fisho's. To kick off proceedings Bonney Read, a four piece all female punk/pop band shredded the stage with their high energy, chicks with attitude kickarse rock. These girls are awesome players and are heading towards a very big future in the music industry. For more information visit facebook.com/bonneyread Next up was local rock legend Terry Halliday (Geeza singer) doing a solo performance during which he was joined by Geeza Sax player Martin Wright. With one big powerful voice and a fat acoustic guitar sound, Terry ruled the stage along with the added dynamics of the sax, not to mention being a popular crowd pleaser! For information visit www.terryhalliday.com.au Daryl Braithwaite and his band came on stage wasting no time performing many of his "hit" songs with such perfection and energy. Daryl's voice was bigger and better than ever as they played such songs as: "All I Do", "As The Days Go By", "Rise", "Higher Than Hope" and the anthemic "One Summer". To cap the night off to a very appreciative and excited crowd they perform ed Sherbert's Australian number 1 hit, "Howzat"!
