The Rock-itt : March 2011
"Rock and Roll should be heavy enough for the boys and sweet enough for the girls "-Josh Homme This is the sentiment that has driven much of the music that Heavy Heads has been writing and performing since forming in the leaky ballroom of a dilapidated mansion in Wollongong in early 2010. Initially forming under the name of Pink Fangs, the band splashed crowds with their electronically influenced brand of grunge/alternative rock. The band have played shows in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong supporting the likes of W olf and Cub, the Protectors, Mother and Son, and Ghostwood. Guitarist Peter Howard and Drummer Thomas Pryor are both northern beaches locals. Exchanges with Wollongong based musical- acquaintances led them to meet founding members of the group, South coast gents bassist/vocalist Will Chittick and Guitarist Bradley Fisher. With both areas being meccas of strong surf and music culture the Heavy Heads has found common ground m elding 60's surf tunes, with Bio courtesy of Terrease McComb and Will Chittick
