The Rock-itt : February 2011
such as 'Pinpricks', 'The Ocean' and 'Trigger Finger' do remind us big time that You Am I can still write and deliver bull terrier hard and fast rock'n tunes! Their eclectic set reflected this direction along with hard rock'n crowd pleasers and more familiar tunes such as 'Judge Roy', 'Fifteen', 'Cream & the Crock', 'Thank God I've Hit The Bottom' and 'Berlin Chair' causing a stage crush! The Band put on a faultless polished performance with singer, Tim Rogers delivering with such passion and power in the face of heatwave conditions that saw most of the light show shut down due to the extreme heat. The band finished the night with a classic trademark You Am I rock'n track 'How Much is Enough' released in 1994 as a double A side single to a very appreciative and sweaty full house crowd. Tim made a really cool quote on the night about his involvement with the band which received a really loud appreciative reaction from the crowd when he said "You know what's really F**cked about playing in this band......NOTHING!!"
