The Rock-itt : February 2011
Koby -- I'm not actually sure -- I think of stuck. Now that I think about it it's actually quite an apt description of the musical process we go through these days. We look to compress things and streamline our material now than make it very big and gaudy like we may have done in Bagster and Mr. Vengeance before hand. I still have to tell Paulie to tone down his bass lines (laughter). He loves the ol' bass work that boy. Rockitt -- It's probably a hard habit to break after the more walking basslines of the band live? Koby have a good time, as cliché as that sounds. We used to try so hard in our previous bands to make sure every- and we still do that to a degree. But I guess now that we're a bit older we're and I think it comes through in our live fun playing the songs and performing in general -- I like to think that the vibe tends to rub off on the audience. Of course sometimes it doesn't go to plan but hey, that's rock n' roll. Rockitt -- And the EP? What would you say it sounds like? Koby -- It's essentially a punk/pop/ rock EP. I'm biased, but I really like the songs. There's some really poppy stuff on there but still with the rocky edge we like and also some cool proggy riffy stuff that guitar heads may appreciate. The production on it is great; we recorded it out at Freefall Studios in Baulkham Hills with our friend Antonio. He pulls a good sound. Rockitt -- can't wait to hear it. Any part- ing words? Koby and say g'day!
