The Rock-itt : December 2010
IT’S TIME TO PARTY AT THE ARMS The owners of the Newport Arms Hotel, the Bayfield family, are throwing two great parties this month to celebrate the festive season and you’re invited. The great yearly Christmas Eve Reunion Beer Garden Party started twenty years ago and will be staged this year in Australia’s biggest waterfront beer garden. It promises to be even bigger and better than the party last Christmas Eve. Revelers will be getting together again to party, have a good time and for some this will be their 20th year in attendance. The Party kicks off as the sun begins to set over Newport with smooth sounds and party anthems played throughout the beer garden while patrons sway and jive the night away on a moonlit dance floor. Gates to this great event will be opening at lunch time and it is advisable to get in early as a big crowd is expected. Entry is free and there will be transport provided to and from the venue every 1⁄2 hour till close. Check full page advertisements in this issue of The Rock-itt. If you made it to the Christmas Eve party at the Arms then you are bound to back up for the next big one which is New Years Eve 2010 Fireworks Extravaganza on Pittwater in the Beer Garden. Once again the party starts at sunset and continues on till late with a spectacular fireworks display over the water at midnight. Also the city firework display at 9pm will be featured on the Arms giant outdoor screen. Great music will enhance the atmosphere and for those who want to shake off 2010 with rhythm, the moonlit dance floor will be available to get primed for the countdown. As with the Christmas Eve party, the Arms will provide transport for patrons to and from the venue where party goers will wind things down till finish at 2am.
