What started out as a jam in a pool side cabana, turned into months of sleeping on floors in LA and has now resulted in Stone Parade's second full length album 'Stratosphere'. Riding on the wave of their success with the Nokia Be Heard Competition and more recently, the International Song Writing Competition, the boys from the Northern Beaches of Sydney have toured extensively over the past 5 years including supporting the likes of Maroon 5, Hoobastank, 3 Doors Down, INXS, Noiseworks and Jimmy Barnes. Their latest offering was mixed by renowned US world class producer Mark Needham, whose past works include The Killers and My Chemical Romance. Needham was high in his praise of the band, “Stone Parade is one of the most talented bands we have worked with this year. All of us here are BIG fans of these guys.” So what defines the group? “W e’re probably your stereotypical Aussies: we love our football and cricket, going to festivals, summers, losing our thongs, beaches and of course beer,” and this relaxed and open attitude is reflected in all aspects of the band. “We just want to be a band that can keep getting people excited about music and putting smiles on their faces, to challenge audiences listening abilities and surprise people. Since day one, Northern Beaches rock band, Stone Parade have set out to challenge their creative musical talents and they have definitely come up with the goods in their second offering 'Stratosphere', released nationally on 15th October, 2010. As the band prepare for its release, the iconic Annandale Hotel was the place to be on 4th September where the band got to celebrate along with fans, friends and industry, the release of the first single 'Paranoia'. It's very easy to be constantly blown away by the the unabashed fun and energy of Stone Parade's live show.
