The Rock-itt : November 2010
A WHALE OF A TALE Rock-itt photographer, Ian “Snapper” Bird has a whale of a tale in this month’s issue with photo’s to prove it. Ian took some magnificent shots of whales frolicking in the sun last month and a very surprised Kayaka right amongst it. Don’t miss this special feature as it has to be seen to be believed. Onya Snapper! VELLA TO PLAY ON BEACHES Musician/ singer /songwriter, John Vella, will release his new album at a launch at the Annandale Hotel on 4 November 2010. He will soon be travelling to our Northern Beaches to perform. We will have a look at John in December’s Rock-itt, but for now see if you can make the launch. TWO COUNTRY MUSIC REVIEWS This month we have two great cabaret music reviews from our Country and Western music fraternity. Belrose Country Music Club and Seaforth Bowling Club have sent in their monthly reviews. By the look of ittheyhadawowofatime. Why not find out how you can get involved and be part of the action. Reviews are in the music section of this issue. Yee-Haa! MANLY CRICKET Wait till you see Simon Lyon’s cricket feature this month, it’s a bloody ripper, mate. Not only are you getting the goods on what’s happening in the club, but The Rock-itt and Manly Club photographer, Ian “Snapper’ Bird, has some excellent action shots of our boys in action. OUR MALCY’S ON THE RUN If our travel expert and “Road Runner” feature writer, Malcolm Hill would have lived in Columbus’, time I’m sure he would have been on board his ship when he discovered America. Our itchy footed traveller has compiled another great travel feature in this month’s Rock-itt so don’t miss it. OUR DIGGERS AT WAR No doubt about Simon Lyon’s Diggers at War feature each month. He certainly knows how to hit an Aussie in the heart strings. Simon has turned in another of his moving features in this issue. Well done Simon, keep the flag flying high old mate. EQUESTRIAN Feature writer, Rachel Smith, has another great equestrian feature in this issue for all those horse loving Beaches people.
