The Rock-itt : September 2010
2010 SEA EAGLES MEMBERSHIP Sea Eagles Membership is for everyone! It's about showing your true passion for the Sea Eagles and ensuring the club's continued success! We have a package to suit you! It's time to show your true support by becoming a 2010 Sea Eagles Member short lived as we once again went from the frying pan into the fire. The game against the Roosters should have been won easily but instead, we had our backsides slapped and the most bitter pill that Sea Eagle punters have had to swallow all season. With a lead of 14 points to nil and 2 minutes left on the clock till half time, the Sea Eagles all but collapsed, allowing the flagging Roosters back into the game. The annihilation suffered at the hands of the Roosters, a side that we had on toast at one stage, makes us ask why. Here we are teeter tottering on the brink of the finals after beating every team in the competition at least once in the season yet in a game so important we lose direction and throw the opportunity of being there in October for the big one away. The Roosters ran out victors to the tune of 30 to 14 which relegated the Sea Eagles to 7th position and depending on other games played could possibly see us slip out of the final 8. What started out as a season of real promise, is turning into one of disappointment, frustration and despair and if Dessy can't put his finger on the problem before the Cronulla Sharks game next week, then it will be 'all over red rover'. STOP PRESS: Some bad news has just come in over the radio. It appears that Glen Stewart has been side lined for 4 weeks after elbowing Braithe Anasta to the face in a tackle last Sunday. Further news involving Jamie Lyon, who must face the judiciary over a tackle, and concerning injured Sea Eagles players, Anthony Watmough (ankle) and Steve Matai (shoulder). We have no news on those incidents before we print.
