The Rock-itt : July 2010
EVERYTHING FOR MUSIC FANS The record fair will be held at the Dee Why RSL on Saturday 24 July from 9:00am until 3:30pm and people can expect predominantly vinyl records ranging from cheap bargains to rare collectables. There will be a wide range of brand new vinyl releases imported from the US, UK and Europe. Those who are looking for rare and imported CDs which are not always easily found in shops will also enjoy browsing the stock. DVDs, posters and other type of music related paraphernalia will also be for sale. Any music fan will be impressed with the products offered at the event. FIRST MUSIC FAIR ON THE NORTHERN BEACHES There are other areas in Sydney who have these fairs and they are very successful so it will be a great opportunity for music fans who live over this way. A VINYL COMEBACK Many young kids are getting into vinyl records now; the fact that they can physically own something and enjoy it over and over again makes them buy vinyl. The whole aspect of holding an album cover, reading the lyrics and enjoying a superb audiophile sound is so much nicer than having a collection of blank discs or an Ipod. Most new releases are available on vinyl and they come with a free download or CD so you can listen to it whilst you are on the road. It's a fantastic idea. As for the older vinyl buying generation, there's no such thing as a comeback because to them it actually never died. In the end you cannot beat the real thing and vinyl is here to stay forever.
