The Rock-itt : July 2010
IT'S ALL OVER RED ROVER FOR OUR SOCCEROOS It was a rather lackluster world cup for Australia as we were sent packing long before the fat lady began to sing. Our sports journalist, Malcolm Hill has a report on our efforts. As Malcy shoots straight from the hip it's a must read for our sports buffs. Sock it to 'em, Malcy! WHERETO GET YOUR FREE COPY OF THE ROCK-ITT BRODY IS BLUE OVER THE BLUES Rock-itt young gun journalist and staunch NSW punter, Brody Robinson, must have had a miserable time reporting on the second State of Origin game last month. It was a bitter pill to swallow watching the New South Welshmen humbled by a far superior maroon's outfit. Check it out in our sports section. MISS FRESHWATER One of our Rock-itt snappers, Dave Tozer was on one of his favourite assignments last month when he did a live review o the Miss Freshwater" competition at Harbord Beach Hotel. Dave was snapping away like a piranha and has got some great photos of the lovely lasses in their swimmers. Check out Dave's review in our special features section. HI HO TOZER Rock-itt "Jack of all trades", Dave Tozer was back in the saddle last month blazing a path across the Beaches as he brings you another feature on our "boots and saddle brigade". Dave introduced the feature a couple of issues back and says, "The horse lovers are eating it up and are pleased that someone has finally decided to bring their sport here on the beaches into the light." Another feather in the cap for Yankey Doodle Davey. NEW FEATURE THIS MONTH The National Grid Gallery We are introducing one of the Beaches own treasures, The National Grid Gallery, which is located in Chard Road, Brookvale. This wonderful Gallery showcases the work of all kinds of artists and the Rock-itt is thrilled to have the works of the Gallery and its team of innovative people in our pages. The latest exhibition is by 22 female artists and we have some of the works at the exhibition in this month's issue of The Rock-itt. Make sure you make a visit to the gallery this month. DAVE'S SURFING PICTURES It's Dave Tozer's turn to showcase some of his great photos of the thunderous seas and great surfing pics which he snapped last month. Go to our sports section to see what Dave has for you.
