To celebrate The Glen's 25th Anniversary Warringah Council invested $500,000 on capital works at Glen Street in 2010. The programme of capital works consisted of a major refurbishment to the backstage dressing rooms, which now run on solar hot water, new external signage, car-park resurfacing, relocation of plantings, landscaping and renovations to the disabled toilet. These upgrades will vastly improve the facilities for our community groups, artists and visiting companies as well as enhancing our position on the national touring network. The first performance commences on 20th April with Toy Symphony, a Helpmann award-winning new Australian play by Michael Gow. Back by popular demand is the hilarious Sydney Theatre Company's The Wharf Review: Pennies from Kevin on 4th May and I am also delighted to welcome David Page, in his award-winning one-man show, Page 8 on 18th May. In a first for Glen Street we premiere Shorter and Sweeter, a new format of eight one-act plays presented for you in one exciting night on 1st June.
