The Rock-itt : April 2010
THIS IS IT REVIEW The world went into shock in June last year over the sudden death of music icon, Michael Jackson who was on the brink of a comeback series of concerts. Of course, the world never got to see these performances but through this documentary it gives a rare insight into the performer, Michael Jackson and with this previously unseen footage, the magic the concert was to be. His attention to detail and the extravaganza through fireworks, costumes and lighting proves he was indeed the king of pop. This is such a gift for the fans who would never again get to see their idol. MAD MEN SERIES ONE AND TWO Over dinner party conversation with some friends, the topic of the TV series Mad Men came up. My hubbie and I had never seen it so my friend lent me her DVD to check it out. Needless to say, we became hooked and demolished all the episodes in only days after some Mad Men marathons. This brilliant series is set in New York in the early 1960's and is based around a Madison Avenue advertising agency, hence the name of the series "Mad Men". The central characters are Donald Draper (the company's top executive) and his perfect wife Betty. The show concentrates on the lives of the staff and their goings on in the office. The costumes in the series are so well researched and really brings to life the era of the time. Don't miss this. Perfect for quiet weekends when you can just keep watching. Warning - this show can become very addictive. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We are here and all you have to do is call if you need assistance. It's easy!
