The Mars Volta (El Paso, Texas) came crashing onto the stage with their singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala looking for destruction and not disapointing with plenty of wild stage antics and equipment damage. With their inventive jazz to progressive rock influences and everything in between, took us to the planet Mars Volta where eerie acid psychedelic jam sounds turned in crashing bang big rock tunes with flavours of Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. Powderfinger, veterans of the BDO stage, were promoting their latest and seventh studio album Golden Rule, entertained the packed crowd with their new songs and crowd favourites.
