The Rock-itt : January 2010
The Rumjacks are a Punk/Celtic/Folk band that added a whole new meaning to punk rock on the night, playing their own songs plus old folk tunes that they rework and punk up. The band had many punters locking arms, spinning around and singing along with familiar folk songs. A new song performed on the night The Executioner received a great reaction from the crowd. The five piece band also showed their roots with such instruments as the piano accordion, flute and Celtic drums playing an integral role to their unique punk-folk flavour. Check them out at www.myspace.com/therumjacks The Corps are an established 5 piece Sydney band formed in 2004 and play original hard-edged rock & roll with such influences as Motorhead, Rose Tattoo mixed with hardcore street punk. The Corps delivered a tight, energetic and powerful show that kept punters pumped until the end of the night! Visit them at www.myspace.com/thecorps
