The Rock-itt : October 2009
between band members which seemed to be missing at times whilst delivering a precision tight show. To seal the deal, the band closed the show with their most popular track of all time, Joker and the Thief which truly rocked the roof off the Enmore! Wolfmother are putting on a free show to promote their new album at Moore Park's Entertainment Quarter on 2nd October, 2009, the NRL grand final, they then head to Europe and the US for a few months, before returning home to support AC/DC on their national tour in February 2010. For more information visit www.wolfmother.com.au Wolfmother were supported by Yves Klein Blue & Jack Ladder. Unfortunately we missed Jack Ladder due to the difficulty of trying to land a parking spot in Enmore. The band who is promoting their latest album Love Is Gone, has been regularly played on Triple J as well as his song Two Clocks was featured over the closing credits on the final episode of the second Underbelly series. He has often been compared to Nick Cave and John Cale and to learn more about him visit www.myspace.com/jackladder Yves Klein Blue seemed to be well supported and known by the crowd, with punters around me singing and dancing along with their songs. This band seriously rocked with their indie/pop/grunge sound as they energetically belted through their set including a kick arse version of Iggy Pop's Search and Destroy and playing songs from their latest album Ragged & Ecstatic, including such familiar tracks as Make Up Your Mind, Getting Wise and the TV friendly Polka being a star performer.
